We are willing to meet people with innovative ideas and disruptive business models because those tend to be the type of business which are more likely to have a strong impact in society.
Important to say is that any kind of business, even the shareholders owned types, with super high profit margins, may be extremely relevant to society.
But a specific type of business model, I'd like to share as an example, is the Social Business. It was first introduced by professor Yunus on a venture together with Danone, called Grameen-Danone Food Company. The concept is very straight to the point, investors put money on it, get all of it back, without the intention to grow this capital - it's a new way to think of charity money. (i do not necessarily agree with this model but) It is an innovative way to do social work, bringing corporate incentives of financial sustainability, productivity and efficiency to an enterprises having a very specific focus on a social need.
This is a short video of Prof. Yunus explaining how Grameen-Food Co was created, really worth to watch it:
Those ideas help to change the world trough good business!
